SOCIAL DISTANCING Guidance June 10, 2020
Including Updated Elevator Etiquette
Our team’s goal to have a janitor assigned to the lobby, elevators and other common areas around the clock – 24/7 will continue indefinitely. But that should not be taken for granted. Social distancing efforts should be observed wherever possible, and face coverings continue to be mandatory in all locations, between the entrance to your home and Park Tower’s property line. This includes the Roof Deck, recently opened for the season. We are doing as much as we can to keep key locations clean and sanitized. But individuals need to respect each other, use personal responsibility and hold each other accountable by reporting problems to our staff.
Based on the current guidance, the following are updated guidelines for the elevators:
- Please limit riders to a maximum of 4 people per elevator. Whether you are coming or going, if there are already multiple individuals when an elevator arrives for you, please wait for the next one.
- Try to angle yourself so you’re not directly facing other riders, and avoid social interaction.
- Please do not cough or sneeze in the elevator. If you are sick – please stay home.
- When on the elevator, we suggest limiting greetings with no more than a nod and smile. In a confined area, when conversing Humans normally expel droplets that can be suspended in the air for a time, which could place those on the elevator at risk – as well as those who follow you onto the elevator after you’ve left.
- If someone is not observing this etiquette or is otherwise not being mindful of those on the elevator, don’t be confrontational. If you are able, step off and take the next elevator.
Face coverings are mandatory, observe social distancing, IF YOU ARE SICK, please Stay Home – contact your medical professional and follow their guidance! Protect and respect yourselves, your neighbors, our staff and visitors.
