Already seen it on Netflix? One more time then, on the big screen with your neighbors, popcorn and pizza!

Sunset is at 5:20 pm on February 21. The 2nd Floor Party Room will open at 4:45 pm, with fresh popcorn for early arrivers (and discreet English subtitles for those who sit close). Promptly at 5:00 pm we’ll have a show of hands as to who wants what kind of pizza at Intermission. And by 5:10 or so we should be underway, with Intermission halfway through and easily done by 7:30 pm. Free, of course, for Park Tower residents and their families.

In case you missed it, the Chicago Tribune came out with a detailed investigative report this weekend regarding the financial malfeasance underlying the 2025 closure of Weiss Hospital and the 2026 closure of West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park. For multiple months we have received complaints regarding the homeless takeovers at several Uptown bus stops. The majority of the complaints have focused on the heavily used bus stop and bus shelter across from Aldi and Target, at the corner of Sunnyside and Broadway.Reader AK sent the following photos to illustrate the situation.
