We’ve received word from our Window Washing vendor, they are gearing up to conduct our seasonal cleaning. The current weather outlook looks relatively cooperative, but this time of year unexpected summer storms are not wholly unlikely. Precipitation or high winds would result in a delay, as safety of the window washers is paramount with this type of task.
AND SPIDER TREATMENT IS BEING DONE – We know they’ve been particularly bad this year, here and at other high rises. Particularly the higher floors.
Not only is it a banner year weather wise for spiders, their food of choice is thriving as well. We’ve treated the roof twice now, and the windows earlier in the season. They are both being done again within the next couple weeks, so we should see some improvement. Excessive precipitation would reduce the treatments effectiveness, but, we are doing what we reasonably can all things considered.

We do ask the vendor to start on the ’01 tier corner, and work around the exterior counter clockwise progressing tier by tier. But weather conditions could dictate they switch to another tier. So, the best alert they are in route, is seeing their ropes drop outside your windows.
If the weather cooperates, this work is typically done within 5 business days. If the weather is chronically uncooperative, they will work on Saturday and Sunday as a last resort.
Don’t hesitate to contact us with any problems or concerns. Best by e-mail at parktowercondo-mgmt@habitat.com or phone 773-769-3250. For example, if they miss a spot or a window, let us know. We have 7 days to report any such problems. The vendor sends a rep to inspect the area in question and they will address it.
We hope all our Owners and residents are well and staying safe!
