A water shut off to the 30^th through 55^th floors, to accommodate the Loop Project Repairs, will be needed Monday April 22^nd, between 9am and 5pm. Although the goal was to attempt to finish in two days, demands of the work underway prevented them from completing everything necessary by 5pm on Thursday April 18^th. Barring unforeseen conditions or complications, the shut off on Monday April 22^nd is expect to be the last for the duration of the project.

The water shut off to the 30^th through 55^th floors, to accommodate the Loop Project Repairs, was delayed. As of now, we expect it to be delayed by one week. It was confirmed conditions are such, additional preparations are required before we can proceed.

We realize residents were anticipating the shut off to occur on April 10^th, 11^th and 12^th, and we apologize for any inconvenience or frustration this delay may have caused.

At present, they believe with more certainty, the shut offs will be Wednesday and Thursday, April 17^th and 18^th, and their goal is to have all the work done those two days. There WILL NOT be a shut off planned for Friday April 19^th. If another shut off is needed, an announcement will go out for Monday April 22^nd, or thereafter.

The “Upper Loop Project” is our effort replacing the main plumbing lines valves, which feed cold and hot water Risers serving the 30th  to 55th floors. Most of the work is being done above the 55th floor hallway ceiling, and in the crawlspace above the 55th floor.

The water shut off to the 30^th through 55^th floors, to accommodate the Loop Project Repairs, will be delayed. As of now, we expect it to be delayed by one week.

UPDATED Saturday April 6th

Water Shutoffs to accommodate work needed to the connections to lines being run for the Upper Loop Project are expected to occur this week as anticipated, Wednesday thru Friday April 10th, 11th and 12th.

These shut offs will effect both HOT and COLD water, from the 30th to 55th floors, 9am to 5pm.

Conditions could change between now and then, which may require them to refine the exact timing, but once we know with more certainty, a final notice will be distributed.

UPPER LOOP PROJECT REMINDER

Scheduled To Begin On The 55^th Floor

Monday March 25th

The project to replace the main water lines serving the High Zone hot and cold water risers (which provide water to the 30^th to 55^th floors), has been scheduled to begin on Monday March 25^th, and work is anticipated to follow the outline below. Workers are expected to conduct this work in the hallway and the crawlspace above the 55^th floor from March 25^th through Friday May 9^th. They will begin by 9am each weekday and plan to wrap up work by 5pm, though workers anticipate mobilizing around the 8am hour to gear up and make preparations.

From time to time, workers, tools, hallway obstructions, noise, dust and other conditions which could cause some frustration and inconvenience will be present. The noise may be heard downward several floors, particularly during the “Demo” work, and especially the demo of old plumbing.  We appreciate all our residents’ patience and understanding while this work is underway.

Units 5501, 5506 and 5511 will need to be accessed during the project (as scheduled above), for access and work on the valves to the main lines above the entryway ceiling. That is the bad news – the good news is, as a part of the project, these valves are being relocated to the hallway. That will decrease the need for access from in or above these units in the future.
