That is Passenger Elevator 3 Instead of Service Elevator 5
As of now, this work is expected for Passenger Elevator 3 (serving the lobby, 2nd floor and floors 23 through 55) from Monday August 12th through Friday August 16th, and Passenger Elevator 4 (also serving the lobby, 2nd floor and floors 23 through 55) from Monday August 19th through Friday August 23rd.
We know having any elevators out of service creates an inconvenience. But these are planned repairs. They identified these cables as approaching the need for replacement and ordered them several months ago. Thankfully they were proactive. Had there been a problem with the cables causing an outage, the elevator could conceivably be down for several months while the cables are manufactured. They are custom measured and made, and not just sitting on a shelf somewhere.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while these needed repairs are completed.
