Our team has reported the pool chemicals and ph reached an appropriate balance early today. The monitored it for several hours to be certain it was maintain the appropriate levels, and the decision was made early this afternoon to reopen.
The pool is now open and ready for use.
We appreciate all our Members patience and understanding while this important treatment was completed.
Sadly, due to the incident, closing the pool was the appropriate measures to take to protect our members. This allows us to recondition the water to help ensure it is in a state that is healthy and safe for use. Immediately following such a closing, our team takes specific steps to thoroughly cycle and chemically treat the water, so that it is fully re-conditioned. It is also partially drained and re-filled and he filtration system is completely flushed and cleared out. This process takes a lot of time, during which chemical levels become far too high for use. We can report however, this initial step has been completed.
Now, our team is working to get the chemicals balanced so it is again safe for use. The types and levels of chemicals used for this treatment protocol we underwent, take a lot of time to cycle through and dissipate. Balancing the pH and chlorine after an event like this, can be challenging, and patience is needed as our team works to bring the level back to an optimal, safe and healthy balance.
Our #1 job is maintaining a comfortable and safe environment for members, so the pool will not reopen until we can be certain of that. With any luck the chemical levels will be back to normal by Saturday. At the latest we would expect to reopen sometime Monday, December 30th.
We appreciate members patience and understanding while our team works to get this conditioning process completed.
