For everyone’s comfort and convenience and out of respect to our volunteer sorters, PLEASE remove your packages as expeditiously as possible. And just as important, remember our limitations.
If you are expecting oversized deliveries, please arrange to be home to receive them in person. There are size and material restrictions, and these are particularly important to follow for events like “Prime Day” and over the holidays. There are points we may reach where we will have no choice but to enforce these limitations and that may lead to packages being lost or discarded.
We realize most residents just want to locate their package and move on. PLEASE, be courteous and plan a timely pick up! Don’t let your deliveries or packages linger in the room for an excessive period of time. ESPECIALLY, if you are expecting multiple packages. The faster deliveries are retrieved, the more space and flexibility for new packages as they arrive.
Our staff and/or volunteers will do our best to contact residents in person when we are aware of excessive packages, or packages that have been hanging out for a long time. Please realize carriers like Amazon and UPS sometimes make deliveries in excess of 200-300 packages in a single visit. They can add up quick and take up a lot of space – then before you know it another delivery is made. Packages that sit there for days on end can cause our sorters and your neighbors just trying to find their package, a great deal of frustration. With a particular emphasis to those who receive multiple packages at a time, if they sit there for an extended period, it creates challenges for everyone. Please be good neighbors and retrieve your deliveries as quickly as you are able.
We are extremely THANKFUL TO OUR VOLUNTEERS who assist with sorting. Packages arrive at such an accelerated rate this time of year, and their help makes life easier for all of us. They are doing a great job keeping up. If you arrive in the room and find there has been a delivery that is not sorted, it would be very helpful to alert the staff. Although it can not be a priority for our team, we will do our best to coordinate sorting. In the absence of help, we sympathize with any inconvenience you experience locating your package.
Timely pick up is just one of a handful of policies and good common sense courtesy to help maintain a positive experience for all Park Tower residents. Here are the other the policies presently in place:
