On Monday September 25, 2017, commencing at 7:30 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Party Room of Park Tower Condominium at 5415 North Sheridan Road, Chicago, IL, 60640, there will be a Special Meeting of the Unit Owners of the Park Tower Condominium Association for the purpose of voting on the purchase and subsequent sale of Unit 12(c). This Unit is the subject of a lien foreclosure initiated by the Park Tower Condominium Association in a case pending in the Circuit Court of Cook County as Case No. 2016 CH 14259 and entitled Park Tower Condominium Association v. Sheridan Land Trust 5419, Unknown Occupants, and Unknown Owners. This and such other matters as may properly come before the meeting are expected to be addressed.
To properly conclude this foreclosure, the Association would have to open the bidding at the judicial sale in connection with lien foreclosure proceedings in the amount of all sums due the Association by the unit owner. As a result, the Association could become the successful purchaser and owner of the Unit, if there are no higher bidders. At present, should the Association acquire the Unit, it is the intent of the Board to make a reasonable attempt to sell it to an interested party.
All Unit Owners should attend this meeting or complete the attached Proxy Form*. If you are unable to attend the Special Meeting of the Unit Owners in person, please complete, sign, and return the enclosed Proxy Form to the Management Office before 5:00 p.m. on Monday September 25, 2017. A blank proxy form was mailed to all Unit Owners with a letter from the Board President on July 28th. So if you already submitted a Proxy Form, a second one is not needed. Following the Special Meeting of the unit owners, commencing at 8:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the unit owner meeting is adjourned, there will be a meeting of the Board of Directors for the purpose of voting on the purchase of Unit 12(c), and to conduct such other business as may properly come before the Board.
(*If as of the date of this mailing, we have record of receiving a Proxy Form for your Unit, a blank will not be included with this notice. However, should you wish to change your vote or designated proxy, please contact the management office and we will forward you a new form.)
