When a tornado whisks young Dorothy away from Kansas with her faithful dog Toto, she finds herself in the mysterious Land of Oz, where unknown dangers and strange creatures await her. Can she find a way back home? Can her new friends the Cowardly Lion, the Scarecrow, and the Tin Man find courage, brains, and a heart? Searching for answers from the mysterious Wizard of Oz, and pursued by the forces of the Wicked Witch of the West, Dorothy and her companions must work together to complete their dangerous quest.

The 2nd Floor Party Room opens at 4:30 pm with the serving of fresh popcorn. We’ll assemble the pizza order at 4:45, then douse the lights to start the movie. We’ll break halfway through for pizza and soda and finish by 7:30 pm. Free, of course, for Park Tower residents and their families.

Our leadership team could use a little volunteer help for this event. It’s an easy “ask,” just one or two folks who can arrive at 4:00 pm and/or stay around for 15 minutes afterward to clean up. Kindly reply using to ptcasocial@rcn.com And Thanks!

Sheridan Park Gets Some Love

In recent weeks we welcomed two new "Sheridan Park" murals to the amazing group of murals in Uptown. From Fast Food to Fast Construction

It was just over a year ago that we noticed that the Burger King on Irving Park near Clark had closed, and today there's a nearly completed residential building under construction on the site! Demo started early this year, and construction commended shortly after that. Seems like things rarely, occasionally, can move quickly in Chicago.The new building will be comprised of 31 three- and four-bedroom units, all rentals. There will be no affordable units on site, since it was built "as of right" and no zoning change was requested.
