For residents on these tiers, and who live on floors 3 through 29, you have started to see workers coming and going from the 3rd floor on Monday up to the 12th floor on Friday. We are pretty much right on target for those of you following along on your construction calendar.
For the most part, demolition from 14 and up and plumbing from 8 and up will continue next week. Reconstruction should begin in earnest about 2 weeks from now beginning at the 3rd floor and working up.
We are pleased to report that so far, we have found no surprises or any reason to believe we will not remain within schedule.
At any time if you have any questions or concerns, please Send Us An E-mail.
Letters and a project calendar were sent to each Owner and resident of these units, advising them what to expect and what will need to be done to prepare. If you live in one of these units, and did not receive your letter or misplaced it, please contact the office immediately. Any resident interested may also request a copy of the project calendar.
Riser replacements are among the most challenging and invasive projects needed in a building such as Park Tower. Belongings will need to be removed from the impacted locations and the water will be off in the effected units every workday from 9AM to as late as 5PM while the risers are being replaced. Thankfully, to date we have replaced 12 of these risers throughout the building, so once we have completed the inspections we will be able to give you a very good picture of what to expect and how long it may take.
It will be dusty, noisy at times, and there will be times you may not have use of faucets and toilets. But if you are prepared, know what to expect, and work in tandem with us, we are confident that the project will be a success.
Residents who live on these floors (3 to 29) will see protection go down in the hallways between the Service Area and the ’06/’07 units, and once work begins, workers will be coming and going from the 3rd floor up, to the 29th, until the project is completed. It will be dusty at times in the hallway, but our team is instructed to do their best to clean up at the end of each workday.
If anyone either observes any problems while work is underway, or if you have any questions or concerns, please contact the office.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as these repairs and improvements get underway.
