Residents already signed up began receiving water outage reminders for the Kitchen Drain Basin Project this week!
To more quickly communicate important information to Park Tower owners and residents, we set up the PTCA SMS text notification service through ‘CheapestTexting.com‘. This is a pilot program we will be trying out over the next year, to send SMS Messages to subscribers for PTCA business notices, maintenance announcements and updates, and alerts for emergencies.
Simply follow the instructions below, and use your cell phone to subscribe to the category of messages you are interested in. Obviously, posted notices, the weekly PT News and Update e-mails and other means we use to communicate with you will continue. The text are meant to supplement the communication efforts we already have in place and are intend for those interested in receiving key alerts, reminders and messages faster and more efficiently.
There are three categories to which you can subscribe:
Emergencies – Fires, floods, active shooters, power outages etc.
To subscribe to this notification service, text “PTCAalerts” to 94253
Notices – Meetings, business and activity announcements and reminders.
To subscribe to this notification service, text “PTCAnotices” to 94253
Maintenance – Elevator, water and other service outages, as well as repairs, construction and project announcements.
To subscribe to this notification service, text “PTCAmaintenance” to 94253

When you subscribe, you will receive a welcome message. And thereafter, when we are able, you will receive relevant texts with alerts and notifications relevant to the categories you subscribed to. We are limited to 160 characters, and don’t want to drive our subscribers crazy. 🙂 So we intend to keep messages short, sweet, and too the point. If it is a critical matter, you may receive more than one text.
You may unsubscribe at any time, by texting “STOP” to 94253. If you do this, you will unsubscribe from every category of message. However, you can re-subscribe at any time to the ones you are interested in by repeating the steps above for the category you want.
You can not Reply to us at ‘94253’ unfortunately. But if you do have questions resulting from any messages you receive, you can call the office at 773-769-3250 – after hours, the front desk at 773-769-3083.
The use of this service is intended for Park Tower Residents and Owners only. If your cell phone number is not in our registered residents database, you may be removed. So it is important we have your most current contact information on file. You can make sure simply by sending us an e-mail with your current contact information.
We will evaluate the success of this program after the first year and expect the PTCA Board to determine whether it should be continued. Assuming they choose to extend it, we may consider adding other categories to the program. To determine whether this service is effective and successful, please share your feedback and any suggestions you may have.
Unfortunately, with the world being how it is these days, use of this service comes with a few other disclaimers as well. It is most important for residents to know we will use this service when we are able. It is certainly possible, due to the course of business or the nature of certain incidents, we will not be immediately able to use this service.
