Management is beginning in earnest to compile and track a list of Unit Owners who do not want to receive paper notices. Rules passed in January 2015, consistent with the Illinois Condo Act, allows owners to designate an electronic address (e-mail) where formal condo association notices required by the Declaration, Bylaws, and Illinois Condo Act can be sent – such as the annual budget and annual meeting notices.
From the Rules and Regulations, Under “Association Notices”, page 11, “Electronic delivery of notices and other communications required or contemplated by the Illinois Condominium Property Act may be delivered to each unit owner who provides the Association with written authorization for electronic delivery and an electronic address to which such communications are to be electronically transmitted. A form shall be provided for this purpose. Each unit owner may designate an electronic address or a U.S. Postal Service address, or both, as the unit owner’s address on any list of members or unit owners which the Association is required to provide upon request pursuant to any provision of the Illinois Condominium Property Act or any condominium instrument. A form shall be provided for this purpose.”

1. Check the first box to indicate whether you authorize the Association to provide your e-mail address when any owner requests a list of Unit Owner addresses.
2. Check the second box to indicate whether you prefer we provide your e-mail address AND mailing address together when any owner requests a list of Unit Owner addresses..
3. Check the third box if you DO NOT want your e-mail address to be given to other owners who may request a list of Unit Owner addresses.
To participate, you will need to check either box 1, 2 or 3.
At the bottom of the form, all Unit Owners of record for your Unit must sign to acknowledge authorization.
