PHASE 2 Beginning Monday Weather Permitting
This week, the contractor continued finishing work and addressing areas of concern we had with the topping slab. They expect to open revolving door #1 on Saturday, and the new ramp and stairs will be accessible. Despite the fact wet conditions continue to hamper progress they believe preparations will begin on Monday for Phase 2 of the project. Work on Phase 1, as we expected, will continue. The plaza area should be opened on Monday to traffic. The continued work in these locations may result in minor closures from time to time so they can complete work such as sealing the concrete and installing the new railings.
The railings themselves are in early production phase. So 100% completion of Phase 1 is a ways off yet. And as scheduled, much of the railing installation is expected to be completed as Phase 2 nears completion. So though most of the work is done, there is still quite a bit of noticeable changes to come.
Some parkers on the South side of 1p in the garage will receive notices early next week. Parking is expected to be unavailable in a number of the self park and tandem spaces on the far southwest end of the garage on 1p. These parkers will have the alternative to park valet while the work takes place. We are waiting for a final list of the effected spaces. But as early as September 29th, several spots will be inaccessible as plumbing and concrete work related to the project is done.
Once the Circle Driveway is closed down, expect it to be closed for approximately 6 weeks.
As always, feel free to contact the office with any questions.
