In addition, with wet weather presently possible on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week (9/11-9/13), the contractor is now rescheduling the masonry work.
Fortunately, the spray washing of the plaza was finished. And the materials for the masonry work are on hand. At this time, the team is planning to start both the plaza sealing and masonry repairs on Monday September 18th.
Weather Permitting Of Course
Both these efforts are sensitive to weather conditions. Extreme weather and temperatures, or precipitation, will force us to reschedule.
As a reminder, when the sealer is applied to the plaza (a two day effort), nearby units may experience an odor. Particularly commercial units near the North mall entrance and lobby, and low floors near this location.
When the masonry repairs are underway, there will be drilling and banging from time time, particularly the first few days. Traffic at the back dock may be obstructed from time to time, and nearby commercial units may have some pronounced noise from time to time.

Annual washing and sealing of the stone plaza, and tuckpointing on the dock is planned for September.
WEATHER PERMITTING
The stone plaza at the North entrance of the mall and hugging the exterior of the lobby area and main entrance, has been scheduled to be spray washed and resealed September 5th through 7th. The spray washing will be done on Tuesday the 5th and the sealer will be applied on the Wednesday and Thursday, the 6th and 7th.
The sealer does have an odor associated with it when it is applied and as it cures, and especially if it is windy, it will likely be noticeable in the lobby and mall area. Nearby units above this location may also experience some odor if your windows are open.
Also, there will be times the doors adjacent to the plaza will be blocked and traffic will be rerouted. The contractor will work to minimize inconvenience, but as they are working in front of these locations, there will be detours.
Then, starting Monday September 11th, tuckpointing and flashing repairs will be performed just outside the back dock doors. During recent severe weather, there was leaking at this location. The cause was determined to be deteriorating flashing on the top of the vent, just to the right as you walk out the back door.
This work is expected to take about 5 days. There will be grinding and banging from time to time as they prepare the location and joints for fresh mortar and remove the old flashing above the louvre. Traffic coming and going from the dock area may be slowed down or even blocked from time to time by workers and equipment.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while this work is completed.
