This is the supplemental register heating along the living room windows, located only in the 2 bedrooms. It is programmed to come on at outdoor temps of 40 degrees or less, and gets gradually warmer as it gets colder outside. Fortunately, we have not had extreme cold yet this season, but we’ve had enough that there have been some complaints and inquiries.
There have been water temperature issues on the ’11 and ’01 tier for the perimeter heating. To make a very long story short, we aren’t getting enough pressure in the ‘11s and ‘01s and we are getting too much in the ’06 line. Our team traced the problem to two valves in the crawlspace above the 55th floor ceiling. These valves are being replaced. We’re told the parts are already in route, and they scheduled to do the work on Monday December 31st. Barring unknown conditions, the work should be completed in one day.
Our apologies if any residents experience discomfort or inconvenience while this problem is being resolved.
