Owners mailing their checks on their own or making automatic payment through their bank or another bill pay service will need to update the payment address to send to the Management Office instead of the Carol Stream PO Box.
We have continued to receive excessive reports from Owners about irregularities and delays with payments sent to our bank lockbox. To reduce headaches and save time we’ve decided to stop using the lockbox.
So many Owners have switched to electronic payments or already drop payment off to the office, that only 28 Owners paid through the lockbox this month. But so many of those payments have problems each month, that we have decided it is best for all those payments to come directly through the office. It will save everyone time in the long run.
We are looking into updating the address on the monthly statements going forward, but it may not take effect until the January statement. In the meantime, if you are mailing a check, using a bill pay service or mailing through your bank’s portal, please instead send to the following address:

If you are paying through the RentCafe online Owner Portal, you do not need to do anything differently. (If you are not using the RentCafe online Owner Portal, but would like to begin doing so, please reach out to Danny at dbravman@habitat.com to get set up.)
If you have autopayment set up via PTCA or via the Owner Portal: you do not need to do anything differently.
If you are bringing payment to the Lobby or Management Office, you do not need to do anything differently.
