It does appear that the leaking line serving the outdoor ‘kiddie’ pool will require a relatively complicated repair.

Unfortunately, the supply line that serves the pool and the location in question, is embedded in concrete. So a quick and simple repair to get the pool back open, is impossible.

At this time it is likely the pool will not reopen until next season.

Unfortunately, it is very possible the outdoor pool will be closed for the season.

The Small Outdoor Pool on the 2nd Floor Deck and accessible by members of the PTCA Health Club, has had to be drained due to a leaking supply line embedded in the surrounding concrete. It is possible it will be out of service for the remainder of this season.

While dealing with some of the aftermath from the yesterday’s heavy weather, August 24, our maintenance staff discovered the problem and had to take it out of service to effectively investigate. Once the exact problem and proper approach is identified, we will have the work done. But due to the location and nature of the problem, it seems likely any repair will be into September or even October. This supply line is embedded in the concrete and is something our staff cannot address alone.

We sympathize with any frustration this causes, and appreciate members understanding with our efforts.
