The past year’s winter weather really beat up the driveway. Significant cracks and deterioration caused by the cold and ice have not taken well to the rainy spring and heavy storms this summer, which have caused more deterioration coupled with all the traffic. Park Tower and 5445 have agreed to hire Illinois Paving to come and repair the cracks and deterioration and then sealcoat the entire driveway. Without these repairs and the seal coating in particular, we could expect further deterioration and pot holes to start forming, well before they should so soon after replacement 3 years ago.\
We will be working with the contractor to try to schedule it so that our garages are never completely inaccessible. The challenge will be the sealcoat, which can not be walked on or driven over for 24 hours. There may be times when the garage is closed, and we will try to do our best to give all drivers as much notice as possible, so you know what to expect and when.
More information will be released as it becomes available and notices will be posted and e-blasted once we have specific details hammered out.
