First, at the front desk, everyone is likely aware of Mr. Robert Lee’s retirement. Marlon spoke to him recently, and asked if he is enjoying his retirement, he said, “Oh yes! Definitely”. His last day was Friday December 29th.
Filling his position, is the senior most Door Attendant remaining, David Beach. He now works Monday through Friday, 7am to 3pm. Filling David’s former position on the swing shift was the next senior most employee and previous part timer, Henry Hart. We are currently still searching for a replacement for the part time position. In the mean time, our friends at Admiral Security are helping to fill in.

In the office, after several months of searching, one of the temporary assistants filling in at the front desk, Kay Kroger, from Barry & Associate’s, proved to be a good fit. After initially indicating she was not looking for a permanent placement, after a few months as a temp it ended up being the right move for both Kay and PT. And the Board approved her hire.

Finally, earlier this month, long time employee and Assistant Engineer Matthew Brown announced his resignation. He informed us his fiance was offered a job she couldn’t refuse, and they decided to move out of state.
We were fortunate to learn almost the same day, that a foreman with our riser team at MPD Construction, Patrik Janic, was available. Having had mostly very positive feedback during his tenure on the riser team, and after having had very good experiences on a couple other projects MPD has worked on at Park Tower and other DK buildings, he accepted an offer to step in as the Engineer’s new right hand. He immediately came on board, spending a couple weeks training with us prior to Matt Brown’s departure.
