Several residents contacted the office recently to inquire about charges they did not understand. In most cases, this was due to their account be erroneously charged for “Paramount+ with Showtime”. That is a feature that is supposed to be included with the bulk contract, and no one should be charged.
In most cases, the residents should actually have a bill with $0 due in the statement summary on the first page. Instead there is a charge for $26.76. And when you turn to page 3, where the charges are itemized, you see a charge of $22.95 for “Paramount+ with Showtime”. With taxes and fees of $3.81, you get that supposed total due of $26.76.
After receiving multiple calls, this week we asked our building reps to audit every account. We’ve since received confirmation that process was completed and corrections were made. They indicated they would do this again after the next billing cycle just to triple check that everything is correct. Any such charges will be credited.
Since some residents are on different billing cycles, you may have already received a bill or may be receiving a bill soon. So the charge may appear anyway depending on the timing. They assured us that any such charge has been credited already. Of course, anyone is welcome to double check yourselves. The fastest way to confirm this is to contact customer service (or login to your online account if your registered) just to be sure. They can be reached at 1-800-427-8686.

Really, it is more to do with Showtime rebranding and now coming under the Paramount umbrella, and does not mean residents will have access to the Paramount+ streaming service. Though much of the programming will be broadcast and available with the VOD (video on demand) platform. But ASTOUND provided us with a Q&A to help explain the arrangement.
