Adjustments to the replacement louver for the market dock had to be addressed at the contractors shop, delaying installation this week. The install is now expected to be done on Tuesday and Wednesday February 20th and 21st.
Repairs have continued to the masonry as weather has permitted. Tuckpointing on the interior and exterior wall will be finishing up over the next five business days or so.
This is of course very dependent on the weather remaining cooperative.
Starting Monday February 5th, tuckpointing, sealant and flashing repairs will be performed around the Market Space Dock, along the curved wall and some adjacent locations. There are some areas of deterioration and leaking in driving rains, particularly with high winds. Also, the louver along the market dock back wall that serves the air handler for the market and other commercial spaces will be replaced.
Workers will be setting up a scaffold at times to reach some of the higher points that need to be addressed, such as around a couple of the light fixtures.
Some work will also be done at the roof level on the back side of this wall and some other locations adjacent to the pool and racquetball court structure.
This work is expected to take about 10 working days. Of course if weather is cooperative, that would be two weeks of work – but each day they lose will add time to the project.
There will be grinding and banging from time to time as they prepare the location and joints for fresh mortar and remove the old flashing above the louver. Traffic coming and going from the dock area and driveway may be slowed down or even blocked from time to time by workers and equipment.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while this work is completed.
