Our team is still experiencing a problem with the communication between the door and the fob.
The vendor ordered a part that we hope will correct this problem, and is expected to install it and put the door back in service as soon as possible.
We appreciate residents patience as this effort is completed.
Residents may have noticed the damage and cracked glass along the inside edge, which was sadly caused by someone going through the doorway very carelessly. The associated Unit Owner is paying for the replacement. Because this is not a door you can just buy off a shelf at Home Depot – rather being custom made – as well as realities brought on due to the pandemic, it has taken several weeks but, Door Systems Services, the vendor performing the installation, is ready to go.
This type of installation will require the area immediately surrounding the entryway to be blocked off from pedestrian traffic for the duration of the work (one day). During this time, traffic will be rerouted around the side doors to accommodate the repairs. The doorways adjacent to the hallway at the rear of the lobby, along the north and south sides will need to be used as alternates.
Our staff will work with the vendor’s technicians to isolate the work zone with cones, caution tape, and such to alert residents and visitors and keep them from getting too close.
While this work is being done, please use caution as their will be workers and equipment present. We suggest planning a couple extra minutes coming and going to accommodate this temporary reroute.
