Since our most recent updates, the plumbing inspector did give the thumbs up on the finished plumbing work, and the contractor began in earnest to complete the lobby ceiling reconstruction and finish work. Light fixtures and ceiling fans were installed, the drywall was put up, taped, plastered and painted. And after inspecting the finished work, we gave our contractor the go ahead to begin removing the platform.
Over the coming week, things may be a little messy and dusty as the General Contractor finishes up and removes the scaffolding. Workers will continue coming and going as this work draws to a close. Our staff will do their best to keep up with the dust. The wall at the Party Room balcony will be put back in place, the front desk and lobby will be put back into order. In general, things will finally get back to normal.
The bulk of this work will be completed by Tuesday September 29th. Clean up activities will follow in earnest.
We appreciate resident’s patience while this work was completed. We realize it was a major pain, particularly with the water shut offs. But the construction zone in the lobby has not been inviting either. We realize the difficulty this created, and thank everyone for your support and understanding while this important work was being done.
