The Commission revealed the 55th floor was chosen by the survey, though it was close:
55th Floor 159 Votes
54th Floor 152 Votes
55th Floor 152 Votes
Voting was weighted. Each time a floor was a 1st choice in the survey it received 2 points. Each time it was the 2nd choice, it received 1 point.
Following their review of the survey results and discussion, at their June 7th Meeting the Commission voted unanimously to recommend the Board proceed with the project, using the 55th floor finishes. The Board agreed their recommendations and voted unanimously to approve the project.
Our team is already deep planning and looking at scheduling. Materials including the new carpet, wall paper and signage have been ordered, and we met with vendors to begin talking about the anticipated schedule. The key gauge to the effort, will be the arrival date on carpeting. The preliminary expectation is for flooring to begin arriving within 8 weeks.
To begin with, the contractors and our team are aiming to work on two floors at a time, and from start to finish it takes about 3 weeks. VERY TENTATIVELY – we are looking at beginning work in August. We will begin by updating 54 and 53 to match 55, and carpet removal on 52 and 51 will get those floors underway. We will work downward from there.
On behalf of Home Improvement Commission and Board, we thank all Owners who participated in the survey process.
Stay tuned for updates.
