The team working on the project experienced difficulty with old original bolts holding the fan motor in place. It took different equipment and a lot of extra unexpected time to remove.
Due to this condition, they now expected the fan motor for the halls to come back online sometime on Friday.
We realize that reduced fresh air can create stagnant conditions at times. Opening your window can help. We remind everyone to keep an eye on the weather. If precipitation is expected, please keep windows closed. ALSO, SMOKERS, remember that opening your window can force smoke into the hallway and neighboring units, which is prohibited.
In order to accommodate the necessary work, the air handler will be off and will not provide heating, cooling or fresh air to the hallways.
An effort approved and started in 2023 to overhaul the main air handlers that serve the hallways will be completed Monday May 13th through Wednesday the 15th. Due to the timing, our team intentionally waited until we were between heating and cooling season. Because the forecast calls for relatively moderate weather, they scheduled to have the work completed.
The work is set to begin at 8am on Monday May 13th, and is expected to be wrapped up by mid-day on Wednesday May 15th.
The hallways will not be pressurized and fresh air will not be circulating through the hallway vents. During this time, the best way to allow for fresh air to enter your unit, would be to open your windows. However, please don’t open your windows during rainy weather to avoid leaks, and do not leave windows open if you are not home. As we know the weather can change suddenly and unexpectedly. Most window leaking we experience is from windows left open during stormy conditions.
We appreciate your patience and understanding while this effort is completed.
