The construction team has been busy, continuing to get fixtures in place and completing a massive decorating overhaul. From our observation, it appears they are investing a lot into making the space more inviting and comfortable for prospective shoppers.
New shelving put in place behind what will be the new check out counter.
Workers continue construction and installation of fixtures where the Cafe will be located.
The freezers and cold cases have undergone a complete overhaul, and are now being prepped for use!
The build out continues!!
The new operator of the market space in suite 114, GO GROCER, has said the build out and remodeling of the unit in preparation for their business, is going as scheduled. The continue to expect to open between May and June. They’ve been told their licenses to be able to conduct their operations, should be in hand within the next few weeks.
Workers have been busy painting, and giving the grocery cases a complete overhaul.
Lighting and electrical being overhauled as well.
The cafe space, which will be right at the entrance, is expected to be a highlight and is hoped to serve as a draw for customers from both the building and mall businesses, and the neighborhood.
The team with Go Grocer is making progress with the build out in the Market Space.
Lighting and plumbing work is mostly done, as well as the flooring. They’ve also formally applied for the needed licenses, and expect to be able to begin operations, once the build out is finished and the store is stocked. This includes the planned Cafe AND Pharmacy. In fact, the build out for pharmacy operation, which will be located where the deli used to be, is set to get into full swing on Monday April 25th.
At present, they say to expect an opening sometime between May and June.
New paneling being installed.
Pharmacy moving in, where the old Deli used to be.
Cafe to be located near the entrance, where the former operators office and lottery desk was located.
Applications for necessary licensing are in.
Work is underway now to build out the space to accommodate their operation. Workers have already started demolishing the old floor, removing old and antiquated fixtures and equipment, upgrading the lighting fixtures to accommodate LED bulbs, and started running new plumbing lines to allow for a cafe operation toward the front of the space:
It hasn’t been on. It has the “Park Tower Market” logo at the top. And, where’s the date, time and temperature?
The Board also approved replacement of the signage. The current sign already had wiring problems, and repairs were pending the outcome of the negotiations for the market lease. Once it was clear the previous operator would not be continuing, and Go Grocer would be taking over, spending money on wiring would have been wasteful.
Plans are underway to replace the sign – basically as is. A new multi-color LED panel and software will be installed for a more attractive and contemporary display. And our team will be able to access and update the sign via a wireless app.
As work gets underway and the Go Grocer operation takes shape, we will continue to keep you updated.
