The team at Monson & Nichols presented their proposal for the new timing of work related to the coming Garage Concrete Repairs and Membrane Replacement. Also, they’ve provided details regarding their measures to address pandemic related concerns.

Fall 2020 anticipated schedule:

PHASE 1: August 3, 2020 is the expected start date of phase 1. They expect the 1P phase to take about a month and 2P about one week.

PHASE 2: September 1, 2020 we will move to phase 2. They expect the 1P phase to take about a month and 2P about one week.

PHASE 3: October 1, 2020 we will move to phase 3. They expect the 1P phase to take about a month and 2P about one week.

PHASE 4: November 2, 2020 we will move to phase 4. They expect to complete 2P within about one week and 1P by 11/20/2020 and use the remaining week or so in the month to demobilize and move all of their equipment and tools out of the garage.

2021 anticipated schedule:

PHASE 5: March 1, 2021 is the expected start date of the phase 5. They expect the 1P phase to take about a month and 2P about one week.

PHASE 6: March 29,^, 2021 they expect to move to phase 6. They expect the 1P phase to take about a month and 2P about one week.

PHASE 7: May 3, 2021 they expect to move to phase 7. They expect the 1P phase to take about a month and 2P about one week.

PHASE 8: May 28, 2021 they expect to move to phase 8. They expect the 1P phase to take about a month and 2P about one week.

Following this phase of the work, they will be working on any remaining issues, punchlist items and anything lingering that needs to be addressed. We are hoping with everything running smoothly their team will be able to complete the project, demobilize and move all their equipment out by the end of June 2021 at the latest. How the pandemic evolves could obviously result in changes, and should they identify unknown conditions during their efforts it could very well influence progress and timing.

About that pandemic…COVID-19 Protocol: Masks will be worn at all times either standard covid protection masks or respirators. They will have wash stations on site and hand sanitizer on site as well. They will test their employees temperature before entering the building and each employee has the understanding that if they are sick that they will not be allowed to work for 14 days.

More announcements and information will follow in the next couple weeks, including confirmations for reservations for Valet Parking for self-parkers, as we revise and post new Notices related to the project.
