Weather permitting the window washing team will be working at the building on Friday July 1st to address some additional work.
Unfortunately, too much time has passed, and we have had way too much adverse weather to justify making the vendor redo the entire building.
As much as we would like that to happen, we will only be doing call backs we accumulated within a reasonable time, and otherwise only tiers impacted by the HVAC leaks our team addressed.
So much time has passed since we started the window washing – delayed week after week due to bad – weather, we are already closing in on August when we expect the next washing.
UPDATE June 17th
After a meeting with the Corporate Cleaning team, they are expected to return next week to do a handful of callbacks and to do some additional drops due to some leaks we experienced that got on the exterior.
Just be aware, if you see the ropes drop outside your window, you will likely see the window washer at some point.
UPDATE April 12, 2022
In a discussion with our rep, we indicated we would prefer to keep the team who is familiar with our building. To do so, we have rescheduled with them for Wednesday April 20th and thereafter. Of course, this is obviously weather dependent.
The advantage is that we have recently had weather that would have caused spots and lines on your windows. So we are getting some of that behind us.

Seasonal Cleaning of the Exterior is Expected Beginning Wednesday April 6th and Thereafter as Necessary Weather Permitting
Our vendor Corporate Cleaning has confirmed, weather permitting, work will be beginning Wednesday April 6th. Right now it is impossible to say whether the weather will be cooperative. This time of year in Chicago unexpected changes are not unusual. Precipitation or high winds would result in a delay, as safety of the window washers is paramount with this type of task.
We do ask the vendor to start on the ’01 tier corner, and work around the exterior counterclockwise, progressing tier by tier, 2, 3, 4, etc. However, weather conditions could dictate they switch to another tier. So, the best alert they are en route, is seeing their ropes drop outside your windows.
If the weather cooperates, this work can be completed within 5 business days. If the weather is chronically uncooperative, they will work on Saturday and Sunday as a last resort.
Don’t hesitate to contact us with any problems or concerns, by e-mail at parktowercondo-mgmt@habitat.com or phone 773-769-3250. For example, if they miss a spot or a window, let us know. We have 7 days to report any such problems. The vendor sends a rep to inspect the area within the unit in question and then they will address it.
