Unfortunately, as the OTIS got underway, they were called away to an emergency at another community. They were able to complete the testing on Service Cars 5 & 6, but will need to return to complete cars passenger elevators 1-4 and mall elevators 7 & 8.
This was rescheduled for Tuesday February 13th. We expect they will start around 6am with passenger elevator 1, and work there way to mall elevator 8. They expect it to take 1 to 2 hours per elevator, and the will be out of service for the duration.
More details below from the original post.
Beginning Monday February 5th at 6am through mid-afternoon, OTIS elevator will be taking each elevator out of service, one at a time, to conduct mandatory annual safety tests. It is expected to be limited to no more than a couple hours per elevator, however if they find a problem or unforeseen condition additional time may be needed. It is possible that testing would continue on Tuesday if they do find unforeseen conditions to address.
The process is set to begin 6am on Monday with Service Elevator 6, followed by Service Elevator 5, both which serve all floors and the garage levels. After that elevators will be completed in number order starting with Car 1 then 2, serving the Lobby thru the 23rd Floor. Then Car 3 followed by for, serving the Lobby, 2nd Floor and Floors 23 thru 55. Mall elevators 7 and 8 serving the mall and garage levels will follow.
We sympathize with any inconvenience this important work may cause, and hope this notice allows you to plan some additional time if needed coming and going. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while this important annual safety procedure is completed.
