July 25th through July 31st
OTIS Elevator Technicians are scheduled to perform these necessary and important annual tests for Cars 1-8 on weekdays between July 25th and the 31st. Their team plans to arrive each day on-site around 7am. Each car is expected to be out of service for 2-4 hours, one at a time. If they suspect there are conditions that need to be addressed, it may take longer. Barring any problems or additional work, they may be finished prior to the 31st. These tests are required by the City, and an important part of properly owning, maintaining and keeping the elevators safe and functional throughout their lifetime.
OTIS expects to begin on Thursday July 25th, beginning with Car #1 on the low rise side, working through the 31st, to Cars 2-8. Our team is working with the OTIS rep to identify a good window of time for Car 6 (used for moves) to reduce inconvenience for parkers and deliveries. They expect to be completed with this effort by Wednesday July 31st. They will not do any work requiring these elevators being taken out of service until 9am each workday.
While we hope not to find any problems, if unknown conditions are uncovered, it is possible an elevator may be out of service for longer than the anticipated time frame. If anything does arise, we will follow up using our text service. NOT A MEMBER??
