Been Thinking About Moving To An Electric Vehicle Option

The Park Tower Garage now has spots that are capable of handling most car charging options. You simply need to send us the specs to review, and we can make sure the appropriate outlet is available.

We advise that you let us know you are considering the purchase first so we can prepare a spot. These are presently occupied by other parkers and before we can move an electric vehicle into any of these spots, we will need to find an alternative spot for whoever is there. That may not happen overnight, so the sooner we know the better.

The Board and Finance Commission did agree on a pricing ladder for the spaces, such that like other independent spaces we’ve wired in the garage, at least some of the expense of the installation is shared by the parker:

New Electrical Charging Space Parking Year 1: $1,000 upfront payment, or $100 per month, parker pays for metered electricity plus the regular parking space rate.

Years 2 and 3: $500 upfront payment, or $50 per month, parker pays for metered electricity plus the regular parking space rate.

Year 4 and beyond, parker pays for metered electricity plus the regular parking space rate.

There are 10 spaces all together, BUT one is already taken so 9 are available. Once those 9 are gone, we will have a waiting list, however the Board has indicated possible interest in expanding should these fill up fast.
