By land or by phone — They will raise your electric bill Just when you thought you were finished with being harassed with electric companies trying to sell you a tricky contract with hidden clauses or slam you (switching you over without your knowledge) the beast is back. The municipal package that many of us purchased is expiring and can not be renewed. What’s a household to do?
The ASCO board has it on its agenda for August 4th but there is not much info yet to work with. Yesterday Chicago Tonight (11) had an interview with Jim Chilsen, Communications Director of the Citizens Utility Board. There was an article in today’s Chicago Sun Times and a news report on WGN-TV. Chilsen warns you of people who come to your door and ask to see your electric bill so that they can get your account number. They will switch you to another company without your knowledge. |
