As previously reported, we received word from the Association’s Tax Attorney that our appeal was successful. Valuations were reduced by about 4% which will be reflected in these bills. This reduced assessment should remain in effect for the 2022 and 2023 tax years as well.
From our analysis, this resulted in an annual savings of between about $65 and $241 for most owners.
However, the reduction secured by our appeal does not necessarily mean you will see the bill itself go down. The assessed valuation that is appealed is only one factor of many that help calculate the total due. Most importantly, taxes are highly dependent on what is billed by the various tax districts, and how the burden is shared between businesses and homeowners.
