Work rehabbing the main ComEd vault which services Park Tower, is winding up. Slowly but surely their workers will be demobilizing. Repairs and improvements inside the vault will be continuing for a couple weeks, but we should begin to see less of a presence of their workers and equipment along Sheridan Road. Once they are sufficiently out of the way, work reconnecting our irrigation and installing new sod will be scheduled. We do not have an official schedule, but we are told the bus stop will return shortly thereafter.
LS Contracting, the contractor hired to complete the Plaza/Driveway Project, is already beginning to remobilize along the plaza to recommence installation of the vertical panels. They will conduct finishing work along the railings and complete other punchlist items. We expect this process to take 3 to 4 weeks, weather permitting. After that, we will conduct a final inspection with the buildings architects who oversaw the project, and with luck we can give LS the green light to completely demobilize.
This has been a long and challenging project. We greatly appreciate Owner’s and residents patience and understanding as these improvements have continued. We look forward to getting this work at our entrance and curb finished up, and getting the front of the building spruced up and back to normal.
