Com Ed will be working on a transformer that is located below ground at 5701 N.Sheridan Road beginning on Wed.Sept.5, 2018.
Because the transformer vault is below the pedestrian sidewalk, the sidewalk will be closed and a walk-around path will be created by closingthe northbound lane of Sheridan between Hollywood and Ardmore.
This will cause significant traffic congestion on northbound Lake Shore Drive approaching Hollywood while the work is in progress, and we ask for your patience throughout the construction period. You may want to take an alternative route to avoid this intersection.
Some details:
1. The site will be worked on beginning Wed.Sept.5, 2018, and ending Fri. Oct.5, 2018.
2. Work will be done for approximately 4-5 weeks.
3. There will be signs on northbound Lake Shore Drive and southbound Sheridan Road near Devon to alert drivers of the lane closure throughout the construction period.
