Testing will take place between 9am until about 4pm each day. Both the fire panel itself and the emergency announcement system and connected devices will be tested. Residents may hear announcements randomly throughout the building as this is being done.
This will include “elevator recall” testing on Monday July 22nd between 9am and 10am. During this timeframe, the elevators may be unavailable from time to time, as the City tests to make sure the recall feature is operational. That is, that when there is a fire emergency, the panel recalls all elevators to the lobby level.
Our team with Fox Valley Fire & Safety will be conducting this effort, testing the main panel in the lobby, and devices throughout the building intended to help protect and warn Park Tower residents in the event of a fire or other major emergency.
From time to time on these days you may hear test messages and alerts as announcements are made when they are testing devices from floor to floor. You may also see workers in the hallways as they inspect these devices, and the strobe lights on the speakers may flash from time to time.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we conduct this important work. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
