Life Safety System Testing March 21st-24th
March 14, 2016
Our network of safety devices including the fire panel in the lobby, the stairwell emergency phones, hallway sound and strobe alarms, the elevator recall system and more has been scheduled for annual inspection and testing.
This will begin Monday March 21st and continue through Thursday March 24th. They will be testing devices throughout the building to insure they are operational and function as they are intended. Extensive testing and inspection of our system will include running the strobe lights and testing the enunciator speakers through the hallway alarms. So you may see the strobe lights flashing in the hallways and mall, and you may hear messages periodically through the speakers located throughout the building common areas.
On Wednesday the 23rd, they will be testing the elevator recall system throughout the day. The devices and elevators go through a battery of tests to make sure the recall function is ready for first-responders in the event of an emergency. This means, from time to time on Wednesday, the elevators may be unresponsive. It is impossible for us to target the exact window of time when a particular elevators or elevators will be down. However, when they are working we intend to send text reminders via our PTCA Messaging service for those subscribed to our maintenance category.
