We received and update from our team, that as of yet, a few more days of work is needed, though they have reached major completion. Workers will continue coming and going for a few more days as they finish up.
Workers will be continuing the Air Handler Project in the 56th floor mechanical penthouse through Friday June 2nd. They were unexpectedly delayed, though much of the work has been completed. What remains still requires hallway air to be off between 8am and 5pm each weekday. Tasks remaining require welding and other work that would otherwise result in excessive fumes entering the hallways throughout the tower.
They have high confidence the work will be completed next week.
The remainder of work to finish this project in the 56th Floor penthouse is expected to commence on Tuesday May 16th from 8AM to 3PM on weekdays, and continue through about May 26th.
Workers will be going to and from the 56th floor to the Service Elevator on the 55th floor. Residents can expect workers, tools and equipment will be brought up. The hatch in the 55th floor service area will be open frequently, and workers will be coming and going as needed on the service elevators.
The flow of fresh air through hallways on all residential floors may be limited at times during these hours as workers are accessing this equipment to complete the needed work.
