Pool Area Door Repairs Coming

Over the next few weeks, workers are expected to begin repairing and replacing several doors within the pool structure.

First, sealants will be installed on doors which are not used. That work is expected to take place over the next two weeks. Work is expected to take place between 8am and 5pm.

Following that, sometime the week of November 12th, we expect the delivery of seven new door assemblies and screens. The 7 doors and screens most used and their framing, are being replaced.

While workers are present and working, the doors will be open and it may be drafty.

We apologize for any discomfort, and appreciate our Health Club Members patience and understanding while this improvement is being made.

In case you missed it, the Chicago Tribune came out with a detailed investigative report this weekend regarding the financial malfeasance underlying the 2025 closure of Weiss Hospital and the 2026 closure of West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park. For multiple months we have received complaints regarding the homeless takeovers at several Uptown bus stops. The majority of the complaints have focused on the heavily used bus stop and bus shelter across from Aldi and Target, at the corner of Sunnyside and Broadway.Reader AK sent the following photos to illustrate the situation.
