These are activity notices for continuing ComEd utility relocation work at the following locations, related to the Red & Purple Line modernization project:

We are continuing utility relocation work as we move closer to making future ‘L’ improvements under the Red and Purple Modernization Project. Work will be performed that may affect your community and create occasional inconveniences. We will do our best to minimize the impact of our work and will continue to keep you updated.

· The alley west of 5700 to 5814 N. Winthrop Avenue
Work Hours: 8am to 4pm, daily
Work Activity: ComEd Overhead and Underground Utility Work
Local Impact:
· The alleys may be closed intermittently during stated work hours.
· Vehicle access to enter/exit garages and parking spaces via the alley may be restricted during stated work hours.

UPDATE FROM CTA
We are beginning utility relocation work as we move closer to making future ‘L’ improvements under the Red and Purple Modernization Phase One Project. Work will be performed that may affect your community and create occasional inconveniences. We will do our best to minimize the impact of our work and will continue to keep you updated.
Dates: Weekdays
Wednesday, August 8 to Wednesday, September 12, 2018
Location: Ardmore Avenue and the alleys adjacent to the CTA tracks from north of Hollywood Avenue to north of Ardmore Avenue.
Work Hours: 8am to 4pm, daily
Work Activity: ComEd Overhead and Underground Utility Work
Local Impact: While work is being performed there will be:
- Intermittent curb/parking restrictions
- Intermittent sidewalk closures in the work zone o Intermittent traffic lane closures and changes o Intermittent alley closures
- There will be noise while work is being performed. Noise may include general construction noise, running compressors, excavators and generators, truck traffic, beeping form backup alarms on construction equipment and vehicles.
- Work will not impact CTA rail service and will therefore occur during daytime hours.
- More detailed and localized Construction Activity Notices will be provided as work progresses.
- Contractor will maintain access for garbage pickup in the alley during closures.
