November 1st, 2022
Dear Neighbors,
Election Day is November 8th – just 1 week away! Take time today to make a plan to vote, whether you prefer to vote on Election Day or early vote at one of the early voting locations in Chicago.
Work as an Election Judge!
The Chicago Board of Elections and the 48th Ward are seeking Election Judges to ensure polling places are open and working efficiently! This is a paid position, and is a rewarding opportunity. If you’re interested in being an Election Judge, please email harry@48thward.org or apply via the Chicago Board of Elections site.
Register to Vote (or File a Name or Address Change)
It’s not too late to register to vote! If you visit an early voting location (listed in the “Early Voting” section of this email) or your precinct location on Election Day. You’ll need to bring 2 forms of ID, at least 1 listing your current address. For information on required forms of ID to register to vote, and other information about this process, please click here.
Voting on Election Day
City Council approved a new City Ward map, which will impact voting precincts for upcoming elections. Although there was minimal change to the 48th Ward (which saw the addition of a block of Uptown that includes the Bezazian Library), there was a reduction in the number of polling places, and a reconfiguration of precinct boundaries. Please see below for an updated precinct map. Click here to find your polling location for Election Day.
[For most Park Tower residents, your location should be right here within Park Tower, and the designated location is the Atrium under the Skylight in the Mall.]
If you have questions about how to use voting equipment at your polling location, or have any other questions about voting on election day, please click here for how-to videos from the Chicago Board of Elections.
