VOTING IS OPEN FOR PARTICIPATORY BUDGETING 2024: Vote Online, Info Session, Vote in Person, PB 2025
For the first time ever, 48th ward neighbors have the opportunity to decide how we spend up to $1 million in public infrastructure funds! Throughout the year, community members like you have shared project ideas and feedback, and now, it’s time to vote! Read on for information about voting online, voting in-person, and how to start planning for Participatory Budgeting 2025.
Vote Online!
From Sheridan Road Crosswalks, pedestrian safety, to Senn Sport Space Improvements, to lakefront benches and beyond, there are lots of great projects on this year’s PB ballot! To cast your vote for your favorite projects, see our online ballot here.
See multiple projects you want us to fund? You don’t have to vote for just one! We’re using Ranked Choice Voting (RCV), meaning you can rank multiple projects based on your preferences and priorities. Vote for your top 5 projects, ranked order of your preference. The top projects that add up to $1 million in total will be the ones selected for funding.
Vote In Person!
Prefer to vote in person? Starting tomorrow (Friday, September 13), you can vote in person at the Bezazian branch library, Edgewater Branch library, and Chinese Mutual Aid Association (1016 W Argyle). Be sure to review these locations’ hours before showing up to vote. Starting Monday, September 16, you can vote in person at our office (1129 W Bryn Mawr) whenever we’re open! Voting closes on Thursday, October 3.
