At the July 1st, 2014 Board of Directors Meeting, the Board and Budget & Finance Committee met with the Association’s Auditor, Ralph Picker of Picker and Associates. The B&F Committee Chair Paul Groeninger reviewed several questions about the preliminary draft of the audit, which were compiled from Board and Committee Members. The auditor also spent time reviewing questions raised by the recent litigation findings in the “2800 N. Lakeshore Drive vs. Gary Palm” case. He delivered a positive review of the Association’s financial health, business practices and collection procedures and an opinion that the Association is managing its funds consistent with Association’s Declaration. There was discussion and questions from the audience, and at the end of the approximate 90 minute meeting the Board unanimously accepted the audit with changes and corrections discussed and agreed to before adjourning.
