Lobby and Mall Doorways To Be Blocked From Time To Time

Monday July 18th thru Wednesday July 20th – 8am to 4pm

Between July 18th and July 20th, the stone surface at the main entrance, mall entrance and plaza will be cleaned and sealed. The purpose of this is to improve the appearance of the stone, and to apply a protective sealant to the stone and mortar which will increase the useful life of the surface. They will also be doing caulking work at a variety of locations throughout the plaza and driveway.

First, a team will be spray washing the surface to thoroughly clean it. Then, a sealing agent will be applied to improve its appearance and reduce the potential for water and pollution to penetrate the surface. Rain, pollution, salt and temperature fluctuations especially during the winter, can be rough on this type of surface. Over the long term this maintenance helps prevent damage, leaking, and keeps Park Tower’s entrance looking more presentable.

While this work is being done, some areas of the exterior plaza just outside the lobby will be barricaded to accommodate the work. From time to time, some doorways in the lobby will not be accessible, including the revolving doors and the side doors. As the work progresses, the necessary doorways will be blocked off as needed.

Also, there may be an odor from time to time as they are applying the sealer. The contractor expects it to be minimal, however from past experience we’d say that while they are applying it you can expect to smell the product for a short period.
